Personal Hygiene and Workplace Etiquette

I witnessed the worst lack of hyigene there is the other day. This individual had not washed their hair in weeks, their teeth were super yellow, and their breath wreaked of cigarettes. This person was going to the gym! If they were homeless it would be seen completely differently. Nobody wants to come across a foul smelling person, B.O. or no, that is just no bueno. I dislike when I see men with sagging pants or torn shirts, it's not attractive guys, just saying. The girls with the short skirts, or ass and boobies hanging out, you aren't fooling anyone but yourself, quit trying so hard. Some people in the workplace reuse tissues five or six times after the gunk dries out. Um tmi, and that's nasty! I have to say I have been guilty of not shaving my legs during the winter, oh chill out, no one can see em if they are in pants and leggings and tights most of the time then. Such a hassle, and saves razors, okay not the same as saving trees, but still. I had to start keeping a pi...

Recycling: if the bins were any closer they’d bite you

At work we have bins that indicate, paper, plastic, cans, etc. The organization is convenient and is sufficient. The company even makes it easier by putting a recycle blue bin in almost every office on plant. A born tree hugger, wasting things somewhat scare me, especially if it could be used for something else. I see some people at work print out massive amounts of paper and their print job alone takes 20 minutes. It’s ridiculous. I get to a point, that instead of waiting by the machine for them to finish, I find it more conducive to return to my desk to work until it’s all over. The hardest part to see is that this paper will eventually go in the shredder or a burn barrel and never get used again. Worthless.  My father says even if you don’t recycle, the workers end up having to do it when the trash gets to the landfill, and he feels it’s a big waste of time. Having spent a large debate and a chunk of an afternoon at work arguing that recycling was important, I confessed it’s st...

He’s just a teenage dirtbag…she’s such a pita

As a baby there exists the land of innocence where nothing is defined yet and they are oblivious to the adult world. Eventually, we scrape our knees, get in trouble, ask lots of questions, do things we shouldn’t, lie, cheat, steal, etc. and everything and I mean everything changes. In the world, each person has someone they really don’t like or they know everyone says is bad news. Nobody grows up planning on being a jerk, a dirtbag, (feel free to finish my sentence), I think society and our own psyche would like to label whoever we can and classify based on personal experiences and attribute them to what we think this person really is like. Some women, I guilty as charged, spend time on the gossip train, talking about how much we don’t like a certain, guy or girl and everything in your life, your day and whatever is going on is suddenly affected by said person, even if they had absolutely nothing to do with it.. Or you are so addicted about talking about that person its almost grossl...

Seattle : Amazing weekend in the Northwest

Image
I left my house friday early, 4am early! I wanted to beat fix 50 traffic and get to the airport on time for my 645am flight. I met my parents after going through security flew southwest and all went pretty smooth, saw mtn tops from the plane and even escaped 100 degree sacramento heat lol. Friday, we went straight to mount rainer, the skies were clear not a rain cloud in sight and off at the lodge there was daily piano music, hard cider to drink off the ledge of two mountain ranges, yes you read that right, in snow and all of Gods glory and masterpieces right around me. It was breathtaking, could not have been better and some of the hiker men, pretty cute just sayin. I ate at a restaurant in the lodge and hiked the trails around the base and some falls. Saturday was waking up and some more trails and my dad got a brilliant idea to hike mt st helens and tour the exhibit. I wont give it away but that place was just as incredible, and what a story behind that mountain eruption and story t...

DEADLINE NITE : The I'm still at Work and it's past my bed time, but I will be done

Image
DEADLINES are crazy and so is working when you didn't expect to still be on the clock on a friday or whenever past normal working hours. Nothing is more challenging than staying at work super late when everyone has gone home to their familes and are in their beds sleeping. Now wait a minute here. I am not complaining. I absolutely love my job more than I can say and am thrilled to be part of this company.  Today made me realize that some people often forget those that spend long hours on weekends and sacrifice their vacations on the job. some like it, some even live here, and stay night owl hours, some can't sleep and feel its better to be here. I am amazed that all of these folks just keep doing so with their heads down no questions asked, some do complain or get upset, but we all know its for a cause and a reason to pay the bills and such and better than laid off and on the streets. One of my colleagues who got laid off was lucky and was brought back as a temp employee to...

D.A.B.D.A: Face it don't hide it

Image
(Denial) Writing it on paper, saving it in a text message, calling and then hanging up by dialing on star *67, pretending you aren't there when you are standing in the next room, pressing snooze on the alarm to stay in the dream, doesn't diminish the words you want to say : "I miss you." Then, cursing at your cellphone because it's day who knows anymore, and they still haven't answered, oh what an ass, I'll show them, they can't do this to me, well, I never. (Anger) The hopeful side appears and you began to assume it's all your fault, if only you hadn't made them ignore you, or or, what a minute, if only I could get another shot, they will see, things will be better than ever. Maybe they simply forgot, had something come up, I'm sure it's just a misunderstanding. (Bargaining). You find  yourself refusing to go out, hiding behind junk food, ice cream, Netflix, anything to escape the world, or...

Womens Retreat 2014 : Soar!

Image
Last week, I experienced a rough situation, no actually it was a heartbreaking one. I waited in a bar for two hours for a guy I thought cared about me and came to discover he was a big jerk who I did not need to waste all my tears on. If you have ever been stood up, let me tell you something, I know what you mean. What's ironic, is I read a book once called 'Why men love b**ches' and I thought I had learned everything I needed to know, but that's not the case, because I know in my heart I can't be like that, but I can at least protect myself. I can prepare myself for the future and never again wait longer than 10mns on a guy, not two hours! Anyways, I was having a rough evening and my friend from life group had asked me Wednesday night if I wanted to go to Women's Retreat. I threw out the application, but last Thursday, resolved after midnight and lots of tears that I would love to go if there were still openings. I faxed over all of my info ...
