What on Earth is this Anymore

When did love become such a challenge and judgement are regular norm and theme of the day? I mean this is absurd. After, so many tries of online dating, it is just not for me. I don't need the same love my parents have, or my aunt and uncle, but it would be nice to have one that lasts and doesn't end in divorce. Who am I kidding? I mean I live in a world where divorce is the norm, and people fight all the time, and nothing is forever. I returned home from an akward date yesterday and not even sure I knew what I had just done. No wait I do. I drove an hour there and back to see this guy who is in a wheel chair. I thought it would be cool since hey, don't mind the chair, but 31 without a job, and has a comic backpack and wants to get gauges threw me off. The entire time I sat on the park bench thinking to myself, this guy does not care about himself enough at all. He doesn't take care of himself, hence no longer shaving his face, his legs need lotion badly, and his worl...

Barcelona

Image
Barcelona Lots of color and light and joy here. The people like their late nights it seems. I Practiced spanish with locals. I went Sup paddle boarding again (done before) a blast; there was one cute instructor who every girl seemed to love. Subways here are much cleaner and walking the wharf and catching sunset with ice cream was super nice. Sitges Beach was great, lots of peddlers selling things though, crowded too, and people have to be okay with it being a beach where some choose to be nude. Lil weird at first. Parc Guell was gorgeous, tad hot out when we went.  Tapas the other day there were delicious with sangria and at beach puttinh our toes in the sand was a must. Bike tour we had was such fun as well. I think people enjoyed that option as well. I felt like as a tour group we had more time in Barcelona and the vibes of the place relaxed us all. In the hostel bar three guys approached a friend and myself, clearly drunk, and I normally would have been starry eyed and impr...

Paris 2016

Image
Paris Firemen, salami, cheese wine by river started off our first nite in Paris. The Eiffel tower lights show and level up ticket surprise via our tour director was spectacular and seine river cruise and up tower second level was unbelieveable and Eirini our tour director hooked us up with such a cool sight and evening for second night. The museum with the Louve was huge and so much to see so little time. I would say we were in there an hr and a half before accepting it would take a super long time to see everything that day. Tullier gardens, and serbian tour guide was nice to experience and learn from. Boris was funny and his conversations and discussions were relative and welcomed. Went to a cabaret show, with topless dancers and out of this world performances, amazing gourmet food. They were all flashy, well trained, incredible performances, awesome parisian food, singing on stage and dancers. Luxembourg gardens was a stop for Krysta and I at one point. Sat in the fountain type ...

London town. I arrived on Tues noon london time and got to take underground subway to Wombats Hostel. wound up lost in town and took a cab and found my hostel. It wad there that I met Henry from Dresden( went there in May) and  Andrew and Dylan from silicon valley ca. I met Ryan from Sydney Australia later on the next day and he is an amazing photographer. I chose to purchase the london pass 3 day pass to see as much as I can for 96 pounds( london dollars) and I hit the ground running. We played  jenga at the indoor bar with free drinks and there was a kitchen  if u needed to cook and a balcony and outdoor area with hammocks. All chill atmosphere for my first stop and stay before meeting my tour group. Taking the subway station in different countries is always an experience. Saw a guy playsaxophone song to Michael Jackson's "Billy Jean" at underground subway. I found myself seeing so many sights and started my walking and touring 8am time frame to cover more ground...

I only like you when....the idea of adulting... and other musings

But really though this is ridiculous. Liking someone conditionally is the same thing is as saying you will vote for Trump and you support Hilary. In other words, it's a complete lack of respect. Like someone for who they are, faults and all. Liking someone most of the time, just means you can't handle their other sides. What about your other sides. I know for myself if I haven't eaten dinner, lunch or whatever, I can be a real rotten bitch. However, I know that as a pocket reminder, so I carry snacks around, or quickly find food. No one likes to be hungry. I heard someone tell me the other day that I do a lot complaining. I smiled. Sure they are right. We do, we naturally complain about things. Here's my response though. I am not walking around acting like Eeyore; who yes is pretty much the Negative Norbert of well life. We get depressed and stressed and my coworkers often say are you ever not going to be this way. (laughs). If I wasn't, this work that I needed to...

Jackiemaedit : The artist unleashed

Image
For years, my sister growing up had a creative talent that not many people have. A talent so neat, our family forgot about just how good. Her talent was and is, art. She can take a blank canvas and turn it into a masterpiece over night. She uses this  outlet to express a whole new way of looking at the world. The things she can create, the paintings she can produce are a beauty like no other. The foundation is hardly simple. Take an idea and expand on it to the max. Every creation has a story and the best part about it is, that that meaning of the artwork itself, for each one is truly different; because everyone comes up with their own ideas and thoughts of what it means to them. For me personally, when you tour an art gallery, you see people becoming bored, or claiming they know exactly what the work is all about. When I look at her work it tells a story; it invites you to look at it again and again.   Her work is beautiful, it is downright gorgeous. One of my brothers can ...

Tonite and Forward I bleed Red

Tonite I bleed Red Lately this world is concerned with all the drama and the pain, the shootings, the disasters of the world. The colors of our policemen, the colors of our race, the colors of our flag, the colors of the uniforms of men and women all over from the coast guard, national guard, corrections officers, the army, the marines, the navy, the police, the firemen, the emts, the doctors and nurses, the teachers, the airmen, and the pastors, and the priests who lay down their lives in service to us all.  As a young woman in this country what do I have to give? What could I do with all of this happening in the world. As I listened to my members of my family discuss their wills after my homecooked meal, the sun was still shining. So tonite and maybe going forward, I bleed a different color. I bleed a color of passion, maybe not so much of vengeance or fear, or one of hatred or grief. I bleed the color red, a power color in my world and in this life. What can I give? I was ...
