You wouldn't know it if/Long bottom jeans

You wouldn't know it if you looked at me or talked to me, but I am actually self conscious. Funny, how someone like you they say, could be like that. This is a conscious choice of mine and has come with a lot of growth, but also with learning to love myself. My body as people claim they wish they had, is actually fragile and susceptible to bone fracture more than the average person. I am pretty bony, but I wear that with taking care of my body and strengthening my muscles every day. I strengthen my core, my back, and toughen up my skin to stay in shape, but also to stay healthy. 

 You wouldn't know it if you didn't ask, that I prefer to read a book before I see the movie. I like to challenge my siblings to silly duels, even if I know it is clear I won't win. You wouldn't know it if you didn't look closely, that my eyes have a tint of green in them and that I won't be caught dead wearing yellow. If you knew me, you would know that fitness is important, small moments, and delicious food make a happy heart. 
 YOu wouldn't know it if you didn't ask, that the only rings I have worn/wear have either been gifts or heirlooms none of which I have bought myself. Feels much more special to me that way.You wouldn't know it if I didn't write it, think it, talk about it, but I do all of the above because it gives or I hope it gives my persona a depth that ones who matter will appreciate, and if they don't lol someone will. 

Long Bottom Jeans... Dang I love jeans. I mean I really love jeans. If we could wear them to work, I would wear them everyday. They are comfy, mostly affordable, easy to clean, and for tall girls like yours truly, show there is a figure somewhere! I like different styles, skinny jeans, loose ones, the 70s style bell bottom, low rise, and dark jeans. I think you can wear them anywhere and get your shins dirty and not feel badly about it! Boot cuts are nice for winter too. We have jean fridays and I can't partake because I have a daily program customer meeting, but I sometimes do when the meeting is cancelled. Jeans remind me of the country and laid back style or classy depending on what you pair it with. Pretty economical and I make sure I have a few good pairs. Jeans can be made into shorts, capris, and even overalls and dresses.

I was debating putting this post down since we arrived home. I gave myself a week back at work and a weekend to recharge and try to wake up. I have to laugh a little because typically when I come home from a wonderful trip, I am usually a smidge depressed for awhile. Stay at home mom, Landmark, this and that, goodbye Midtowne on the Park

 Hello! Took another a long hiatus from these posts. I have been a busy momma. I left my job at Lockheed Martin June 2nd last year. I left the comfy cushion of a good salary, 9 hr days, and daycare days to days where I am central focused on kids, rather than when I will get my nails done, or when my next day off is. I attend St. John's Baptist Mother's morning out group once a week, 2 hrs in the basement discussing a book with other moms while the kids are in nursery or toddler class, beneficial. Learning to say no to things rather than yes to everything. I said no to women's bible study, which I love, to yes to more time with the kiddos, and yes to supporting my husband and the unpredictable work schedule. I say no to rushing from here to there unless part of our normal routine, and said goodbye to friends who do not fit changes, or energy, those who do not understand or give back.       Becoming a stay at home mom has helped me get back the moments I had lost ...

Setting yourself up for disappointment

I don't know what's harder, the beginning, the middle or the end of something you thought would last. for two weeks I have been sick on and off, and my life things I like doing have been put on hold, no gym, no life group, no bible study, it's been miserable and this week I could only go to work one day because I have pink eye in both eyes, trying to get well again. When I don't get to go anywhere or do anything, I do it anyways. I worked out while sick last week and made it worse. I went to see Iron Man yesterday after work because I needed to get out. I disinfected the apartment periodically and cursed when I saw statuses of people going out and having fun when I'm stuck. during my time in my room, or in the shower, or cleaning, I began to fester about what I could have been doing, what I needed to do, or what happened while I was absent, or about all the people I cared about who maybe forgot about me.
