Pictures dont do justice. My trip to Ireland was the most amazing experience ever. I was going through a lot at home and battered, unforeseen friendships and work stress. I could not wait to get away. We went to Dublin, County Kerry, and Galway. I toured and trekked all over, taking in views Id always dreamed about. I spent time with people I thought id never get along with or meet. We were a tight knit close grohl of nineteen people and all pretty much got along. I loved the scenery and atmosphere of the area and its people. I loved how we could get a drink and it wasn't overly priced like the states. I loved all of the sacred churches open to the public and the beautiful cathedral lining the corner of one town. They say travel is good for the soul. I lived it up there and on my last night, had one last pint with my tour family, laughing, singing, dancing, and crying even cried at dinner. For the past four weeks or so, Id been sad over a guy I liked and wanted a friendship with. I went so far as to run 2 miles at 2am one night, much to dismay of my roommates! I was/am stuck on something I cannot control... I dont want to be the invisible girl who likes him anymore. Honestly, I didnt plan on having feelings for that person, it just happened. Being here I have had a chance to catch my breath and even fell for a guy I met at Cliffs of Moher. What a moment in time and what a guy, very sweet. I didnt get his contact info, but if we meet again, I pray its meant to be. I forgot my pain. after an incredible week, I boarded the plane, tears in my eyes, I know dont cry that its over, smile cause it happened. The feelings I have are all over the place. Back to reality and car situation with Honda dealership to disengage car alarm. First time outside the U.S., meeting such great new friends, and losing myself in travel, which was unbelievable. Boarding my second plane to san fran soon. Until next years London, Paris, and Barcelona trip, love you forever Ireland 2015!

I was debating putting this post down since we arrived home. I gave myself a week back at work and a weekend to recharge and try to wake up. I have to laugh a little because typically when I come home from a wonderful trip, I am usually a smidge depressed for awhile. I observe the life and country of another land, get immersed in their culture and then depart before I can consider losing my passport and trying to stay. Ah, the life of a world traveler. New Zealand is a land of true beauty, many parts of it, are untouched by tourists, and holds vast landscapes of sweeping trees and mountains. The Maori people who live in the Maori village there are kind, and they protect their land very well. They made us a hengi feast and cooked it in the geothermal hot spring ground. Stay at home mom, Landmark, this and that, goodbye Midtowne on the Park

 Hello! Took another a long hiatus from these posts. I have been a busy momma. I left my job at Lockheed Martin June 2nd last year. I left the comfy cushion of a good salary, 9 hr days, and daycare days to days where I am central focused on kids, rather than when I will get my nails done, or when my next day off is. I attend St. John's Baptist Mother's morning out group once a week, 2 hrs in the basement discussing a book with other moms while the kids are in nursery or toddler class, beneficial. Learning to say no to things rather than yes to everything. I said no to women's bible study, which I love, to yes to more time with the kiddos, and yes to supporting my husband and the unpredictable work schedule. I say no to rushing from here to there unless part of our normal routine, and said goodbye to friends who do not fit changes, or energy, those who do not understand or give back.       Becoming a stay at home mom has helped me get back the moments I had lost ...

Setting yourself up for disappointment

I don't know what's harder, the beginning, the middle or the end of something you thought would last. for two weeks I have been sick on and off, and my life things I like doing have been put on hold, no gym, no life group, no bible study, it's been miserable and this week I could only go to work one day because I have pink eye in both eyes, trying to get well again. When I don't get to go anywhere or do anything, I do it anyways. I worked out while sick last week and made it worse. I went to see Iron Man yesterday after work because I needed to get out. I disinfected the apartment periodically and cursed when I saw statuses of people going out and having fun when I'm stuck. during my time in my room, or in the shower, or cleaning, I began to fester about what I could have been doing, what I needed to do, or what happened while I was absent, or about all the people I cared about who maybe forgot about me.
