Moms: i dont know how she does it
Please note for those without mothers or ones who were not really there, think of yours as a guardian angel or maybe the mom/parent you could be someday; do not mean to offend. She is the cure for a busted knee on the playground, with a bandaid and hydrogen proxide. The person who snuggles your little face from the moment you leave her womb and even hugs you even when you tell her not to embarass you in front of your friends. She is the one who figured out all of your sly ways on how to get out or chores, hide the vegetables from under the table especially when you maybe theres no house pet anymore, or not do your homework. She is the sender of care packages in the mail, silly pictures and cards when you are away at school, the crazy lady who in the middle of the night contacts you to make sure you are either A) living and breathing or B) that you got home safe. She is the queen of the kitchen and makes recipes with love and a delicious smell that wafts through the house or into your head even if you are miles away. She's the one who tells you to bow your head in prayer at the dinner table, not to slouch in a job interview, comb your hair if you have any and act like a lady or a gentleman. She asks your first date at least several times if they have a job and that you wont be kept out late. She is the one who when you get your own place already has a house warming gift and hands over old pots and pans. She gets in a fight with you like nobodys business and wins----every time. She is the angry volcano that erupts faster than Mtn Vesuvius and the one you call witch because shes an "evil mean one" you say. She has a solution to a problem even if it in no way solves the issue but whatever it was it sure made you feel better. She lets you know the importance of choosing valuable friends, all things in moderation, and a good bottle of wine even if you know its the cheapest one in the aisle! She is the cheer coach on the sidelines who screams louder than any newborn you've ever been around. She is the one who boosts your spirits if your day has been rough or you just dont feel like doing anything. She is the one who does a random act of kindess right under nose, the notes on your car, mirror, the chocolates in your bag, or hides things in your house. So if find yourself standing holding a friends child, watching young kids race after one another in the park, or looking down in the crib of your own little bundle of joy, that maybe you can hope and pray to be a good Mom or caregiver too. <3
