Almost Stranded at the Drive in: Great Nite, Crazy Adventure
Last nite I went to the drive in with my friend Krysta, it was my first time going. It's off Bradshaw not super far at all. The place is called West Wind 6 Theater. Had I known the lines were going to be crazy long I would have said," lets leave early!" There are 8 large outdoor screens and a ton of different movies showing at once. We went to see Guardians of the Galaxy which was hilarious and entertaining. All you have to do is pay regular movie price, mussle on through the lines and head to the front windows pay and they give you a receipt with a radio channel to tune into to hear the movie. We opted for a double fearure but it was rather late by that point and since she forgot to keep restarting hear car to hear the tunes it for some reason would not start up again. Having been super rude to her friend from work, I was bummed was trumping girls night, turns out he jumped her car and helped us out. Goes to show, not all guys are trying to 'get with you' and assumptions and overreactions make you look really foolish after, my bad. I apologized and he was really understanding. She gets about a mile or two out and realizes she is low on gas and the battery is low. Uh oh! The car starts to roll I get out and help push the car with help from two guys across the way into a gas station and I realize its closed! Never heard of a station being closed till now. Theres a guy there and he is standing looking not too happy we are bugging him when hes about to lock up. We plead and explain the problem and Krysta thanks God above she has cash in her wallet for gas because he doesnt take credit. She attempts to start up her car again and it wont start. The guy comes out says he can jump start with her cables and she rummages through the whole car looking for them and he sets it up and lets the car run then we drive to my place. She stays the night, both slept well and wake up and she is going to leave for karate testing. The car wont start again! I pull my car up to hers and start it up. At this point, shes where I would be, frustrated, impatient, and annoyed. I reminded her we made it home last nite with some help from strangers and we got her jumped again today. On top of that, she made it to karate and the day was just starting. Okay so she probably needs a new battery and also is getting new car soon. And to think, we were almost stranded at the drive in...thank you Jesus we made it. (See santa cruz blog entry for more humorous, crazy car moments
