#87 Bucket List : Vegas

Arrived in the morning and was super stoked to meet Abby at Terminal 3. We packed so much into the day. After we met her friend Kristin we went to Cheesecake Factory, stores, Caesar's palace, walked a lot and just overall had a good time. Later recharged then I met up with my UNR friends Jeremy and Katie.
We went to the Chandelier bar which has three floors and a Hole in wall pizza place so rad"secret pizza" in cosmopolitan at vegas. Jeremy said no touching railings(disgusting in LV) lol what did i do I touched them lol.

  We also went to the fountain show outside the Bellagio. It was spectacular. Vending machines with cupcake atms are pretty much a staple here which is a win win. Emergency footwear atms for chics who need shoes who are more comfortable was hilarious to come across. Margaritaville was so yumo. Thunder from down under vip status was unbelievable. Afterwards we went to an Irish Bar and listened to awesome old folklore music and tunes we requested. We went to peppermill for brunch and pretty sure I ate like fat bastard, at 47$ tab. I was thinking and realizing my eyes were bigger than my stomach. Bad choice. Gym saved me again.

Then we went to PF changs for dinner to see my friend Andrew and then sock market to kill time before blue man group show. That show was odd, funny but weird. Today I went to Serendipity Cafe and had so much food and mimosas. Saw old friends for lunch and crashed then gym. Insanely tired. Had a fair share of good drinks. Grand Canyon tomorow and fly home saturday. It was super awesome to meet Abby's friends and then see my college buddies that live in LV. I was blessed they made time for me. Glad it worked out but I will be ready to go home for sure. Praying it all works out. I miss Mia already.

I was debating putting this post down since we arrived home. I gave myself a week back at work and a weekend to recharge and try to wake up. I have to laugh a little because typically when I come home from a wonderful trip, I am usually a smidge depressed for awhile. I observe the life and country of another land, get immersed in their culture and then depart before I can consider losing my passport and trying to stay. Ah, the life of a world traveler. New Zealand is a land of true beauty, many parts of it, are untouched by tourists, and holds vast landscapes of sweeping trees and mountains. The Maori people who live in the Maori village there are kind, and they protect their land very well. They made us a hengi feast and cooked it in the geothermal hot spring ground. Stay at home mom, Landmark, this and that, goodbye Midtowne on the Park

 Hello! Took another a long hiatus from these posts. I have been a busy momma. I left my job at Lockheed Martin June 2nd last year. I left the comfy cushion of a good salary, 9 hr days, and daycare days to days where I am central focused on kids, rather than when I will get my nails done, or when my next day off is. I attend St. John's Baptist Mother's morning out group once a week, 2 hrs in the basement discussing a book with other moms while the kids are in nursery or toddler class, beneficial. Learning to say no to things rather than yes to everything. I said no to women's bible study, which I love, to yes to more time with the kiddos, and yes to supporting my husband and the unpredictable work schedule. I say no to rushing from here to there unless part of our normal routine, and said goodbye to friends who do not fit changes, or energy, those who do not understand or give back.       Becoming a stay at home mom has helped me get back the moments I had lost ...

Setting yourself up for disappointment

I don't know what's harder, the beginning, the middle or the end of something you thought would last. for two weeks I have been sick on and off, and my life things I like doing have been put on hold, no gym, no life group, no bible study, it's been miserable and this week I could only go to work one day because I have pink eye in both eyes, trying to get well again. When I don't get to go anywhere or do anything, I do it anyways. I worked out while sick last week and made it worse. I went to see Iron Man yesterday after work because I needed to get out. I disinfected the apartment periodically and cursed when I saw statuses of people going out and having fun when I'm stuck. during my time in my room, or in the shower, or cleaning, I began to fester about what I could have been doing, what I needed to do, or what happened while I was absent, or about all the people I cared about who maybe forgot about me.
