Oatmeal, Swivel Chairs, Superbowl, and Kaiser Permanente
I eat oatmeal every single day. Call me crazy, but this stuff is cheap. You can add fruit to it, and brown sugar, cinnamon, honey, agave, milk or soymilk, anything you want, even chocolate! I take packets to work, or a big can of Quaker oats canister from Winco, and easily make a bowl or two in the early morning. It is the easiest to clean up, and I can pretty much rely on it, when traveling too. Downside? I get pretty sick of it occasionally. When that happens, I cave in, go the café, or make something else for breakfast. It makes sense to switch it up every now and then, but try not to grab the donuts. As yummy as donuts look, during flu season, or pretty much anytime at all, you wish you hadn't eaten the glazed ring. In an hour or less, I'm hungry again.
I happen to like swivel chairs. I like the kind where it has a high back to it, to support my mild scoliosis. When I feel like I am slouching, it lifts me right back up. I can pop up out of that chair so fast, it doesn't even appear as if I was sitting at all. I try not to sleep in it, although it is pretty comfy. When in a playful mood, (work professionals, do not try this, or just don't do as I do) I pull my knees up and swirl around as if I am in a merry-go-round. It is really ridiculous, and your boss may wonder why they hired such a child aka lazy person, so I suggest maybe just trying once for good measure. Maybe just so that the chair works and meets swivel criteria? The bottom of the chair has to support my bony bum, otherwise, it was a pointless effort altogether, and you can forget about being able to stand unless you want to have dead legs by 4:30. The chair I have has these moveable arm rests that you can lower or raise at anytime, and a stand to adjust its height. Trust me, I have thought about this consistently. Not really, but if you are stuck in a four wall office all day, 5 days a week, let me know what goes through your mind, or what reports you have as a result!
The Superbowl. Ah, as if they NFL still does not understand that a Saturday would be so much smarter to host a football game that could potentially take four hours or more including pregame. Bill Belchik, stop wearing your sweatshirt, or maybe do wear it, because apparently maybe in your defense it brought you good luck. 28 to 24 and Seahawks had their powerhouse Marshawn Lynch in, but Carroll made a last minute decision, which may have cost the game. Or was it just sheer dumb luck? Either way, poor guy is probably replaying that last game play in his head till his face is blue. Russell, I do not feel sorry for you sir. You are an exceptional player, very talented, handsome, and are young compared to many. You have plenty of time to win; also Sherman, no one likes a whiner. Frozen says, " Let it go," afterall it was a whole season buildup and you worked so hard, only to have it taken from your ever hopeful, brash egoed self. Your facial expression : no caption needed. Tom Brady, I am not a Pat's fan, so seeing you beat the Hawks however nice, I think you will find it better not to dip your hand in deflate gate or was it just because retirement is soon. Anyhow, as a Niners fan, I would imagine as anyone knows, if your team loses, you fee the loss all the way to champs and finals. Maybe next year Santa Clara. If not, there is always, basketball, baseball, or golf.
Kaiser Permanente (KP). I went to the mountains over the weekend. We stopped at a CVS pharmacy in Angels Camp because my eyes resembled Scary Movie 3. I had pink eye. Note, sunglasses are a great invention. No one can see my bloodshotness. I waited in that pharmacy store for two hours, lurking in aisles like a creeper, waiting to hear if my so-called prescription order was ready. I tag-teamed calling Kaiser, was put on hold for days, and to no avail. The pharmacy was going to close at 7 and the nurse and staff at KP said they would get it to Angels Camp by 6pm. We decide to go to a random Chinese place for hot n sour soup, since Dad and I were sick and mom was hungry too. Six pm comes and goes, and I am left agitated. God instructs us not to complain, because really, he will just keep toughening it up if we don't stop(or so I believed that night). I called the pharmacy and at 6:45 pm they had still not received anything. What a mess! I said forget it, drove all the way to mountains with now two pink eyes. Washed everything, tried to not get too close to grandpa, enjoyed a get-away weekend, mostly relaxing. Here we are, Monday am, I wake up still red eyes, drove to grab my laptop at work, called again, drove to KP: No prescription.
In fact, the order was placed, but the drops NEVER arrived. I called again at 12:30pm and they are completely out of eye drops until tomorrow. Gave up went back to bed. Do not get me wrong, KP and my family have been connected since I moved to Norcal, but this is ridiculous and downright frustrating! So instead of eye drops, I prayed, sweat it out, and am roughing it. I sound like a complete brat, but if you are in pain, it seems like something so little is really dumb to whine about. Really, if it was overseas or in Africa, they wouldn't have such thing as these illusive eye drops, so what did or do they do then? Well the do it yourself (DIY)approach online is helping a bit. KP, I know you have a lot on your plate, and maybe the drops went to Somalia instead of Roseville, if they did, fabulous, hope someone has white sclera's by tonight, if not, that's okay too. However, I pray when I have to purchase my own med insurance in the next two weeks, that I know which choice to make. Nighty night, Red eyeball lady, back to sleep.
