Remember this my dear : Smile !

How amazing this life is truly. Separated by time and space and surrounding areas of change. I took a break from bible study. Worried I would miss out on all of the fun, I wondered if I had made the right choice. With my next trip approaching in almost a month, I knew I had to slow down. I spent the weekend reading, swimming, doing chores, staring at the ceiling, biking, a womens/moms fun game night and a missions potluck. Some of it was spent in front of the television, which was time I felt was not wasted. I used to rent tons of books from the library and had zero time to read any except one. Work can get boring or stressful. What a joy and blessing to be able to check myself a bit and relax. I forget I need some time off too. I am used to the go go Jane and that can be draining week after week. It is my favorite thing to be busy, but it is also nice to just be.



The excitment for my trip and also being and seeing my two college buddies Jason and Ashley get hithed this Septemeber I am quite thrilled. The people and the memories we collect in this lifetime matter more than any job or any accomplishment of mine that I have ever made. A girls night brings more laughter than a work deadline ever could. However, without this job I wouldnt be able to do all these things or experience all that I can so very grateful for that as well.  It all adds up and whatever I am going through or stressing about, I can go back to all of this, and remember as I should dears, to smile!






Last weekend, I got to see my friend Kailee and be apart of her baby shower and watch her soon become a mom. Just being there, and observing the scene and how much we had grown as friends and how much I appreciate being included in such a special life changing event is paramount. One day I hope to maybe have one or two kids of my own. Before you start going everywhere with ideas, I have a lot to explore and ground to cover first!

I was debating putting this post down since we arrived home. I gave myself a week back at work and a weekend to recharge and try to wake up. I have to laugh a little because typically when I come home from a wonderful trip, I am usually a smidge depressed for awhile. Stay at home mom, Landmark, this and that, goodbye Midtowne on the Park

 Hello! Took another a long hiatus from these posts. I have been a busy momma. I left my job at Lockheed Martin June 2nd last year. I left the comfy cushion of a good salary, 9 hr days, and daycare days to days where I am central focused on kids, rather than when I will get my nails done, or when my next day off is. I attend St. John's Baptist Mother's morning out group once a week, 2 hrs in the basement discussing a book with other moms while the kids are in nursery or toddler class, beneficial. Learning to say no to things rather than yes to everything. I said no to women's bible study, which I love, to yes to more time with the kiddos, and yes to supporting my husband and the unpredictable work schedule. I say no to rushing from here to there unless part of our normal routine, and said goodbye to friends who do not fit changes, or energy, those who do not understand or give back.       Becoming a stay at home mom has helped me get back the moments I had lost ...

Setting yourself up for disappointment

I don't know what's harder, the beginning, the middle or the end of something you thought would last. for two weeks I have been sick on and off, and my life things I like doing have been put on hold, no gym, no life group, no bible study, it's been miserable and this week I could only go to work one day because I have pink eye in both eyes, trying to get well again. When I don't get to go anywhere or do anything, I do it anyways. I worked out while sick last week and made it worse. I went to see Iron Man yesterday after work because I needed to get out. I disinfected the apartment periodically and cursed when I saw statuses of people going out and having fun when I'm stuck. during my time in my room, or in the shower, or cleaning, I began to fester about what I could have been doing, what I needed to do, or what happened while I was absent, or about all the people I cared about who maybe forgot about me.
