Valentine Tea and Kings Game
My friend Domestic Fashionista(blogger check her blog) is one of the greatest hosts for holiday themed events in the home. She goes all out and her home
deco makes me feel warm, happy, comfy, and inspired! I finally got to go to this years Valentines Tea and it was so much fun. We had a full blown breakfast of pumpkin muffins, deep dish chocolate banana oatmeal, cinnamon scones and yogurt parfaits. It was delicious and amazing. She made nametags for the guest seating and had a roaring fire on.
I like hosting and wish for my own home one day, but honestly, if Im going to be real, it was soo refreshing to go to another home and not have to do dishes or be at top of game to host! I loved the craft she organized too. Now its a pinterest find as well. It was nail polish and hot water. Crazy! Dip any dishware prefable sturdy ones white into hot water after drizzling nail polish all in the bowl and you create little tye dyed works of art. It wasnt easy lol but if you are patient its worth the effort. The time frame was 10ish in the morning which gave people time to sleep in who arent morning birds. Not everyone is a crack of dawn enthusiast, but I am lol!
One of my friends score tickets from her work to a Kings basketball game. I had never been to a single game live and I used to be a huge fan back in the Christie, Webber, Divac, Stoyackavic days haha when it was probably packed at those games. All the same, thrilled to have a chance to go but admit that I didnt know any of the current players and the scene although fun, was different. Still, that aside, we sat in box seats, fun experience good court view, weird strangers there near us im the suite, but felt important for a split moment!Slamson, their mascot bounced around and I tried to get a pick with him, very hard to do! Mental note: let it go, not worth the agony or stress of trying lol! Watching the game and intensity of crowd was nice to see people still thrilled for sactown team win or lose. We got lost to the suite itself. Its a huge go round arena, but we finally found the room and Im glad I got a chance to go just to see what it was like. Remember, what we may think is boring, to a five yr old, Slamson is a role model and a kings game is the best birthday present in the world. Seeing a little one with a bday crown and Slamson holding him up, made me realize so many of us experience so much through different eyes. What a treat that is!
Nice. Glad You Had A Good Time.
